President Donald Trump said a deal with Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz has not yet been finalized, but he is personally involved in negotiations that are going “very well.”

Progress has been made in talks between Iran and Oman on restoring shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, with a US official telling Reuters that a deal is expected soon.
