Athletes from Poland have brought an unofficial mascot to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina that has captured attention across the games: a stuffed pierogi plushie, the Sporting News reports.

Poland comes to the Winter Olympics with a strong representation in speed skating while also having potential competitors in snowboarding, skiing and figure skating. They've got one thing that no other country's athletes have, though, and that's this stuff pierogi. Maybe he'll make it onto the medal stand. That would be quite Polish.
