Day 64 at the New Jersey Department of Corrections Training Academy. Recruits in Academy Class 259 completed OC spray training. After controlled exposure, recruits were required to perform assigned tasks to demonstrate composure, judgment, and the ability to function under stress. This training reinforces accountability and respect for the tools officer's carry. It also gives recruits firsthand understanding of why proper use and restraint matter.
